A range of training options are available to help manage asthma within a variety of settings. The training package is designed according to your professional requirements and is delivered at our West Perth Training Centre or at your organisation if required.

Asthma Educators Course
A course that aims to increase knowledge and understanding of asthma and enable the learner to implement and conduct asthma programs in the workplace or community.

Qualification |
Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a statement of attainment, comprising the following units of competency:

CHCPROM401B - Share health information
CHCCD402A – Develop and provide community education projects
HLTPOP402B - Assess readiness for and effect behaviour change

Asthma Awareness for Pharmacy Assistants
A course designed to increase knowledge and awareness of asthma with a particular focus on medication interactions and asthma first aid. This course has been developed in conjunction with the Pharmacy Programme, UWA and the Pharmaceutical Council of Western Australia.
Asthma Awareness for Pharmacy Assistants covers basic pathophysiology, triggers, medications, delivery devices, worsening asthma, how to manage an asthma emergency (asthma first aid) and when to refer to the pharmacist.

A seminar designed to build on asthma knowledge and increase awareness of current asthma management protocols in a variety of settings. The seminar is presented by a number of speakers including respiratory specialists, immunologists, nurses and asthma educators.
