The National Asthma Friendly Schools Program
The National Asthma Friendly Schools Program is now in its seventh successful year. This program is a very practical way for whole school communities to improve the health outcomes for school-aged Australians with asthma.
By the 30th September 2007, 47% of all schools in Western Australia had achieved Asthma Friendly School status, with 85% of all schools in Western Australia registered as working towards 'Asthma Friendly School' status. This includes some of the remotest regions of our vast state.
This program is funded through the auspices of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
