$2 in the tin + 1 straight putt = your chance to win a 5 star trip to Mauritius
The Asthma Foundation of WA is running a putting competition for workplaces, community
groups and all interested parties to get involved in. The campaign was officially launched at
the Have a ball doing business Community Partnerships Breakfast at the Government House
Ballroom on Thursday 12th June 2008.
To join the competition, all people need to do is contact the Asthma Foundation to
register for a free kit which includes a putting cup from Golf Box, a ball from LG, the campaign
poster and an AFWA collection tin. There is no cost or obligation to participate and your
putting kit is totally portable – play with your family, friends or colleagues.
To help keep track of your oganisation's best putters, you can also download your own Leader Board.
Putt Away Asthma is designed to be fun, yet serious; structured while spontaneous. An
example of how you might run your own competition is to:
- Put the poster in a central location around the workplace or nominated area.
Create, or request, a scoreboard to keep record of each person’s putting attempts.
- Use the putting tin on a flat surface and, using your own putter, take it in turns
to have a putt at the putting cup – making a GOLD coin donation on participation.
- Collect business cards and draw a weekly winner who enters your own putt-off.
- Deposit your full collection tin into our nominated bank by Friday 22 August
- Create your own putting champ who will be invited to the 3-hour "Putts,
Pimms and Planes to Paradise" Asthma Foundation Party on Friday 5th September!
- Your putt-off distance will be handicapped depending on how much money
you can raise!
The final putt-off will take place during a Pimms Sundowner Event on the stunning
lawns of the Next Generation Health and Fitness Club in Kings Park, on Friday 5th September
2008; to coincide with the conclusion of National Asthma Week.
The major Putt Away Asthma prize is a trip for 2 to Mauritius with access to some of the
world's best golf resorts, kindly supported by Air Mauritius.
Take your free Putt Away Asthma kit and be as creative as you can with how you
run your own in-house competition – no rules; just ideas!
