Raffle Mania – our next raffle is underway!
The Asthma Foundation has just launched its mid year raffle. Raffle books and tickets are currently being sold and distributed around Perth. A FREE Ask the Asthma Educator Session for the community to be held at the Clarkson Library in Clarkson from 10am – 12pm. The Ask the Asthma Educator Sessions focus on training people in asthma management, asthma first aid and the correct use of asthma medications and devices.

| TUESDAY 2 Sept |
A FREE Education and Promotional Stand offering people the opportunity to check their asthma device techniques and ask questions of trained asthma educators. To be held during shopping hours at Whitfords Shopping Centre in Whitfords.

| THURSDAY 4 Sept |
An Asthma Seminar for Health Professionals - a full day seminar that aims to increase awareness of current asthma management protocols in a variety of settings.
FREE Ask the Asthma Educator evening Session to be held for the community at the Asthma Foundation of WA’s Head Office, in West Perth from 6pm – 8pm.

| FRIDAY 5 Sept |
A FREE Ask the Asthma Educator Session for the community to be held at the Kelmscott Library in Kelmscott from 10am – 12pm.
Conclusion of Asthma Week activities throughout Perth schools, community centres, libraries, pharmacies, GPs and childcare centres.
FREE interactive asthma education activities and fundraising collections to be held at Wesley Church on the corner of Hay St and William St in Perth’s CBD. All of the Asthma Educators will be on hand to offer advice and information. A range of games and competitions will also be running!
Pimms, Putts and Planes to Paradise, a Corporate Sundowner Event to conclude Putt Away Asthma campaign to be held at Next Generation Health Club in Kings Park, from 3:30pm – 6pm.

Entertainment™ Books are distributed exclusively through not for profits and community groups. Part of the proceeds from each book goes directly to the organisation it was purchased through, so if you wish to support the Asthma Foundation of WA, please make sure you purchase one through us!
Anyone that has purchased a book previously knows just what great value they are, with discounts offered at hundreds of restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues across the metro area, as well as the Swan Valley , Margaret River , and the southwest.

Thank you St George Foundation
The St George Foundation recently presented the Asthma Foundation of WA with a cheque for $15,000 to go towards the biannual Triple E holiday program for children impacted by asthma. We extend our thanks to St George for this very generous donation. Channel Nine Perth’s Appealathon donates $75,000 to asthma!
The Asthma Foundation of WA thanks the wonderful team from Appealathon for their very generous donation of $75,000 that was recently presented to the Foundation’s CEO, John Gummer. Appealathon has also provided their services to produce several Community Service Announcements for the Foundation and arrange free community air time to display these. Thank you! Do you want to make a difference to the health of our children?
Asthma Foundation of WA along with 10 leading health non government organisations have sent a joint submission to the WA Department of Health regarding proposals to ban smoking in private vehicles and select outdoor settings. The Pirates of Penzance

The show is Directed by Ted Bull, with Prue Ashurst providing the Musical Direction.
The cast are very excited to have Dennis Olsen join them as the Major General. Dennis is so well-known throughout the G&S world it is a great privilege for us to be working with him. And we know he will add his special touch to this role.
The Society is, once again, supporting the Asthma Foundation of WA with this production.
So don’t miss this very special production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s rollicking opera “The Pirates of Penzance.”
