What is the closing date for the 2013 Project and New Investigator grants?
Applications for the Project and New Investigator Grants close by 5:00pm, Monday, 28th May 2012. All applicants will receive an email when their application is received.
What is the closing date for the 2013 PhD Scholarship Top-Ups?
Applications for the 2013 PhD Scholarship Top-Ups close by 5:00pm, Monday, 28th May 2012. All applicants will receive an email when their application is received.
Is the closing date for applications for both electronic and hard copies?
One copy of your application MUST be received by 5pm on Monday, 28th May 2012. However, if we receive the electronic copy of your application by that deadline we will accept the identical hard copies the following week as long as you have informed us of this in advance.
Notification of results
Completed applications will be forwarded and reviewed by the Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee and those recommendations will be presented to the Board by mid-August. All applicants will be notified of their success (or not) just before National Asthma Week in September 2012.
Do I need to be an Australian citizen to receive a grant from the Asthma Foundation?
Yes. The grant conditions specifically state that only Australian Permanent Residents or Australian citizens are eligible to apply for Asthma Foundation grants.
Does the research funded have to be based in Western Australia?
Yes. All research funded by the Asthma Foundation WA must be based in Western Australia.
