WA’s premier open water swimming event is just around the corner.

The 2010/11 Water Corporation Open Water series will kick off on Sunday 31st October 2010 at the Rockingham foreshore.

The Open Water Swim Series consists of six events that will take place between October and January.

The other events will be held at Mullaloo Beach, the Swan River in Perth, Champion Lakes, Leighton Beach and Sorrento Beach.

All events are community friendly, with giveaways, prizes, stalls and other fun activities.

Swim distances are 1.25km, 2.5km and 5km.

Registrations for the Rockingham event cost $30 for members of Swimming WA and $35 for non-members and close on Monday 25th October.
