Busselton will be hosting a five-day lung and airway fibrosis event this month, with a range of speakers from around the world due to attend.

The 16th International Colloquium on Lung and Airway Fibrosis will be held in the South West WA town from 30 October to 3 November 2010.

This conference will gather together world experts and young scientists in basic science and clinical practice who share common interests in areas of lung and airway injury, repair and fibrosis at the cellular and molecular levels.

Key topics include: Airway remodelling, fibroblast, smooth muscle and epithelial cell biology, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, progenitor cells, matrix regulation, genetics and genomics, clinical issues including an update on clinical trials.
