On Sunday 20th March, 8788 cyclists took to the freeways of Perth to participate in the annual Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma.

This was the highest number of riders ever to participate in the event.

A record number of participants also created Everyday Hero fundraising pages to help raise money for the Asthma Foundation WA.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people supporting their friends and family members who took part in the event, and in turn supporting the work of the Asthma Foundation WA,” said Foundation spokesperson Fiona Gardener.

“Thanks to everyone who got involved and made the event a success.”

“Now is the time to follow up with any outstanding pledges and donations.”

It’s not too late to get your sponsorship and donations in. In fact, anyone who reaches their fundraising target by Friday 1st April will go in the draw to win a big screen TV.

A $10 contribution from each of your friends might just see you over the line! All donations $2 and over are tax deductible.

Remember, your contribution will go directly towards education and support services for people living with asthma in Western Australia, their parents and carers. It will also enable us to continue funding vital local research in the hope that one day, we WILL find a cure.

By fundraising for the Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma, you are ensuring the Asthma Foundation WA can provide support to more than 225,000 Western Australians directly impacted by asthma.
