The Asthma Foundation of WA relies heavily on community events coordinated by motivated and generous people. We have been fortunate enough to receive outstanding support in the past from communities that have been touched by asthma. Sadly, several events have been held in honour of loved ones that have passed away due to asthma. They raise awareness of the seriousness of asthma, but they also raise much needed funds for asthma research and services.
Supporter run events are some of the most successful events for the Asthma Foundation of WA, as they help spread a very important message about asthma. Individuals, schools, community groups and workplaces are invited to run events for the Asthma Foundation of WA.
They might be as simple as a ‘Spring Walk for Asthma’ with a gold coin donation in a Childcare Centre, or even a bingo night as pictured below.
